Out West AI / Yard Tally / Privacy Policy

Yard Tally Privacy Policy

Effective 12 July 2026 · Applies to Yard Tally for iPhone and iPad

The short version: we don't collect your data. Yard Tally does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information with Out West AI or any third party. There are no accounts, no logins, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking SDKs in the app.

Where your counts are stored

The counting sessions, gate names, notes, and reports you create are stored locally on your device.

If you are signed in to iCloud and have iCloud enabled for Yard Tally, this data also syncs through your own private iCloud account so it is available on your other Apple devices. This data lives in your personal iCloud and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to it.

Camera

Yard Tally uses your device camera for a single purpose: scanning QR codes shown by other phones to merge team counts. Camera images are processed on-device, in the moment, only to read the QR code. Nothing from the camera is stored or transmitted.

Sharing you control

When you choose to export a PDF or share a count as text, that file is created on your device and handed to the share sheet you select (Messages, Mail, Files, etc.). What happens next is governed by the app or service you choose to share with. We are not involved in that transfer.

Children

Yard Tally is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the new version at this URL.
