NextNotes Support

Fast, native Markdown notes for your Nextcloud — on Mac and iOS.

Requirements

A Nextcloud server (version 25 or later recommended) with the Notes app enabled.
NextNotes signs in with Nextcloud Login Flow v2 — your password stays on your server; the app only holds a revocable app token.

Sign-in doesn't complete? Make sure your server address is reachable from your device (including any VPN you normally need) and that you approved the login in the browser window your server opened.
Notes not syncing? Check that the Notes app is enabled on the server and that your account can see notes in the Nextcloud web interface. NextNotes syncs when it has a connection; offline edits sync on reconnect.
Sync conflict? If a note changed both locally and on the server, NextNotes shows both versions and lets you pick — nothing is overwritten silently.
Importing from Apple Notes? Use Settings → Import on the Mac. macOS will ask permission first; notes are converted to Markdown and saved to your server.
Exporting? Your notes are already plain Markdown on your own server, and you can export a local copy as Markdown folders at any time.
